lazyness and mountain climbing

had a pretty normal and lazy week, this french lifestyle is really growing on me

was dead tired and sore all monday and tuesday from the weekend of ski
i think all i did was go to class, sleep, eat, and OH i broke through the france block of hulu and pandora! needless to say i spent a while getting caught up on the office and just chillin listening to music

found a cool bookstore after class tuesday, it is like a borders but they had books in all languages, majority was french though, but everything from coloring books to novels and dictionaries, i looked around in there forever.... i have an obsession with french words i realized, i just think everything looks cooler in french so i just couldnt stop scanning the shelves... walked out with a novel for class though and i think did nothing the rest of the day

wednesday i had my first cancelled class but had to wait in the class for twenty minutes until it was clear the professor wasnt coming, ended up being cool i had time to come back, run, eat, shower, and skype with  quinn to do some italy vacation planning! i then had my two other classes, then went to my friends housing with caitlin for a mexican dinner! there are four mexican students and they made reaalllll mexican food, guacamole, fajitas, just amazing! ate sooo much they were amazing, they were playing all their favorite music and dancing and singing! it was sooo fun!

thursday i went to a class for the first time, its media and société, i was sooo bored, they were talking about a lot of english journalism words like, underdog, boomerang effect.... kinda common sense stuff for americans but i guess it was kinddd of interesting just to hear it being taught from another point of view, after class we went to go find some THAI FOOD

biggest let down EVER = understatement

got really bad service because we were foreign, but more importantly it was not THAI! i just wanted some crushed peanuts, and that thai flavor, and it was soy saucey with  super thin noodles, no peanuts, and to make things worse a small portion that cost 11 euros..... i was so sad, leaving hungry still

was then extremmmeeelly lazy the rest of the day, i went to have dinner at the cafeteria where my friends sometimes eat and got to be around some real frenchies, at the start of the convo was kinda like a 'ohh shitt' because they talk so much quieter and quicker than im used to so i was barely getting anything, but it got better, they were having a vin chaud party outside for students... i had never tried it so that was exciting, and i got the recipe too (5L of red wine, 1L of orange juice, 1kilo of sugar, and some spices including ginger, so thats the part i  need more specifiques on butttt...) it was really good just super sweeet but we just stood around talking which was good because i got to speak with... yes REAL french people which always is exciting, i kind of dont like that the same converstaions tend to always pop up but, what can you do... ex where im from, what its like, what i study, and then some political issues or comparisons.......after i met with caitlin at a bar where her and i just sat and tlaked and laughed at how pathetic the guys trying to get the nerves up to dance with chicks was, i dont care if we looked creepy or crazy i want to start doing this more often because it was hilllarrriouuusss

lets see, friday i ran and found a new coffee joint, me and a friend went and played chinese checkers and read a book for class, it was a coffee place with international book clubs but they had coffee too, best coffee ive ever had, picture coming soon, but yeah spent some time there before getting back for dinner with veroo.. didnt do anything else that night

saturday i climbed a mountain

phsyyychhe! no i did not fall, in fact i made it alll the way to the top, there is a one euro bus that takes us there, its only maybe 30 minutes away and then the hike to the top took i think just under 2 hours, it wasnt tooo difficult but some parts we actually had to kinda climb, the majority was a well marked path that was just really really steep, at the top we had a picnic in this little old church building that is now kinda a shed, it was awesome, then me sarah and jereon ran down the whole mountain!!!!!!! literally

my friend took this and the circle is of the cross that we got to at the top! its called mt saint victoire the mountain so you can google for farther away pictures of it cus its awesome looking, but its famous for what Cezanne painted all the time! hence why he lived here, so after i got home i about died, couldnt even shower just fell asleep, had dinner and went back to sleep, well kinda late cus of skyping and the time change but then slept and did notthing all day sunday too!
